The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of The Diary of a Killer Cat, Anne Fine's classic story about Tuffy the murderous cat. Fabulously narrated by iconic comedian Jack Dee.

Poor Ellie is horrified when Tuffy drags a dead bird into the house. Then a mouse. But Tuffy can't understand what all the fuss is about.

Who on earth will be the next victim to arrive through the cat-flap? Can soft-hearted Ellie manage to get her beloved pet to change his wild, wild ways before he ends up in even deeper trouble?

The hilarious antics of Tuffy and his family are told by the killer cat himself.

Critic reviews

'This is one of the best book tapes ever. It contains two brilliant stories by the leading children's author Anne Fine ... But the thick, delicious icing on the cake is that they are read by the comedian Jack Dee. This is the first time Dee has done a tape for kids and the results are fantastic. His voice, so charming, wicked and absolutely ruthless, really brings Tuffy the killer cat to life. You'll love it

What did you love best about The Diary of a Killer Cat?

For anyone who has cats it is well worth getting this book. They will understand that cats don't have owners they have servants! The cat in this book is sarcastic and rude. I showed the story to a friend of mine who thought it was hilarious so bought the Christmas one for her.

The children found this story quite difficult because humor is always difficult for them to get a handle on. Once they understood the story they really enjoyed listening to the audio version. They also enjoyed reading it aloud. The chapter that they have in their book is one of the funniest: It is the one where Tuffy brings home the rabbit. It is hilarious.

What did you like best about this story?

Jack Dee is the ideal person to read this story. His voice suits the character of the cat perfectly.

Which scene was your favorite?

I would say where they clean up the rabbit would be my favourite.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely.

Any additional comments?

If it were possible to get all of the books in this serious I'd get them.
