No one has ever experienced an epidemic quite like it. One moment, people are rational beings. The next, they are slaves to their own worst impulses. This virus reduces humans to cannibalistic monsters who constantly need to feed on human flesh.

It has been eighteen months since the “Disease” first swept through the United States. Little is known about its true origins. After the first wave of infection, former army captain Allen collected a group of old friends and formed a command unit. Now, these six makeshift soldiers are working to protect a larger group of civilians headed to Fort Knox, the new capital of the southeastern United States. The Emergency Broadcast System claims it’s a sanctuary from the horror of the Disease and its many gibbering victims.

What Allen and the others don’t realize is that Fort Knox has already been taken over by a shadowy faction with secret motivations. Also, Allen’s group isn’t the only one that heard the broadcast, and now there’s something much worse coming for Fort Knox. Will Allen be able to help the others survive the horrors ahead? Will he be able to save himself?

Enjoyed this story - great twists!
A great story delivered with excellent narration. The story was very interesting with plenty of twists and drama that kept the story engaging and exciting. I was finished listening to this before I knew it because it was so entertaining.

Adventure/apocalypse

Very good well done book. End of the world kind of book. Love the adventure/apocalypse feeling and very well narrated. Definitely recommend this book. Very fun. 5 stars from me.

intriguing idea of world domination through twisted disease manipulation the stuff of real nightmares!! Great story!!!

Hard to Track, Still Decent

I was excited to dive into this one, and while it didn’t fully sweep me off my feet, there was still a lot to appreciate. The cast of characters was impressively rich, even if I had a little trouble keeping track at times. I think it’s the kind of story that might shine even more on a second listen. The narration was well done and carried the story with ease. While it wasn’t quite the perfect fit for me, I can definitely see why others would enjoy it.

The Diseased by Keith Barclift is an amazing post- apocalyptic horror adventure. Kyle Snyder did an amazing job with the narration. The story is interesting, thrilling, has some Horror, action packed, and adventurous. What would happen if a when a disease is unleashed that turns people into zombies, well you will learn in this book. An emergency broadcast is that Fort Know is a sanctuary but things turn out differently. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend
