I absolutely LOVE Dr. Carlson’s books and I’ve been a fan since reading my first “Don’t Sweat” book in 2001. He’s still my favorite author and I just hate that he’s no longer with us. I especially enjoy the “Don’t Sweat” series for all the bite-size nuggets of wisdom and inspiration; I’ve found them truly life-changing.

That said, this is written by “the editors of ‘Don’t Sweat’ Press” - whoever THEY are - rather than by Dr. Carlson himself (although he writes the foreword) and while it’s not terrible, it’s woefully irrelevant and outdated and was probably more useful 20 years ago. The bland, robotic narration (by Some Guy, not Dr. Carlson) certainly doesn’t do it any favors. To date, this is officially the only book with Dr. Carlson’s name attached to it that I’ve been unable to finish. Now, if they could revise/update this into a 2nd edition and find a narrator who sounds more…well, ALIVE, I think they’d really have something here. As it stands, however, it pains me to admit I regret buying it.
