Will America fall to the Russian bear and the Chinese dragon?

The world holds its breath after Russia and China destroy a city in the United States. How will America respond? Will the weakened Eagle surrender to the Bear and the Dragon, or will she keep fighting back? Is "mutually assured destruction" going to devastate all three countries?

On a remote island in Southeast Alaska, Sierra Forester and Austin Martin join with friends to rebuild their lives following a mega-tsunami that destroyed their small town. But troubles are brewing and conflicts arise as the remaining population of the island attempts to live together in a crucible. Meanwhile, in China, Mao Wu Ying tries to pick up the broken pieces of his life after suffering a tragic loss. He keeps his eye on the sky, watching for the blazing tail of an incoming American missile. As he considers his future, he faces choices that will determine his eternal fate. Will he return to his old life as a communist atheist, or will he risk everything to follow Jesus?

I’m a big fan of biblical apocalyptic literature, and I love this series. I’ve certainly read a ton of the genre. Some of the highlights, IMO: 1. Lots of logical thoughts. None of us know exactly how God’s Story will end specifically, but this one is certainly, and unfortunately, plausible and well thought-out. 2. CLEAN—‘nuff said. 3. Grammatically excellent, which only matters to nerds, but I love it. 4. Engaging and exciting, but not overly obsessed with the weaponry and combat violence like some series are. I’m sure I could go on, but that’s enough. Narrator is very good too!

This is book three of this series. I can’t wait to listen to each book. The United States, China and Russia are in a terrible mess. They have bombed America! Now what? Every chapter that ended left me wanting to see what happened next. I know I’ve said this with book one and two but this one is emotional and inspiring too. I love Sierra and Austin and seeing how their relationship is developing in these trying times. I highly recommend this series if you like Futuristic Fiction. It’s clean and fast paced. No boring spots in this story.
I received this audiobook from a different narrator and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Amazing Story

Really enjoyed the range of characters and the development of their lives intertwined with the writing. I like the scripture subtly mentioned at the appropriate time and the drama interwoven.

Story constancy and Focus

Obviously we are of a different dispensational view than author, but Jesus and His Saving Work is still central

I love the way the Holy Spirit ministers to people so they get saved, the author portrayed it very well
