Virtual voice is monotone

I prefer when an actual person narrates the books because they add emotion to the words spoken by the different characters. AI or virtual voices are monotone and make every sound blah.
Story was good but voice was just ok.

Automated Narration Robs the Story

The story sounds promising. I normally love historical romances with a friends-to-lovers theme but the auto-narration ruined it for me and I couldn't get past chapter 5. I've never read this author before and I may try to purchase the book to read it but, truly, the voice was so robotic it was very difficult to follow the story.
