Politics, Central American cartels, federal fugitives, and 300 hostages.... That's just the beginning of Chase Fulton's newest assignment.

When an apparent eco-terrorist threatens to decimate the largest oil producer in the western hemisphere, tensions rise, hundreds of human lives are on the line, and fortunes lay in the balance. Chase and his covert ops team must pull off one of the most daring hostage rescue operations ever attempted, and it has to be done without making the evening news.

As the drama unfolds, the hostage situation is just the tip of the iceberg as Chase faces the possibility of losing the most important person in his life. Will he find answers to the storm of questions that threatens to rip his life apart, or will he fall prey to a mysterious watcher and a misguided federal officer who stand between him and all he holds dear?

From the unforgiving depths of the offshore oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico, to the Desert Southwest where greed meets guilt and evidence battles innocence, this installment of the Chase Fulton Novels series promises to deliver thrills, drama, and intrigue like never before.

I LOVE these books. Chase Fulton is an excellent character with a lot of complexities that are supported by a band of characters that round out the stories beautifully. I especially love the elements of the sailing catamaran.

BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Get rid of Penny. She is so annoying, whiny, & absolutely derails every scene she is in. I can't listen to her dialogue with Chase & have even fast forwarded through it. I find myself saying - ENOUGH ALREADY!

There are many ways that you can get rid of Penny - Maybe Anya can axe her & do us all a favor. Chase will be happier, I promise.

I 2nd the Request to Get Rid of Penny!

This was a really good book, but would’ve been a whole lot better with P.J. Ochlan narrating.

Good Book - Narration Terrible

The suspense was great and the details illuminated the expertise in covert operations. There was a bit too much explanation and transitions were a little jerky. Ending was funny but did not climax well.

I would read another book like this but if it’s the same or worse It would be the last.

Enjoyed the suspense

Nice fill in some blanks story. Why swap Hunter for Clark? They appear to be, except for age, interchangeable. Tina was a bit of a surprise, kinda. They whole mom and pop scenario seemed to be solely to provide a conduit for the Penny Chase drama. However the oil rig and rescue made more sense when the tie between the cartel and human trafficking connection was made. Hope POLAR makes more adult sense.
