A group of people are sent invitations to participate in a paid product survey. But once they arrive and get settled in, they come to find out that they have been tricked by the wording of the invitation and forced to stay against their will.

The doors are locked and they start to try and get out to no avail. A sheet of paper with the agreement they all signed is shoved under the locked door. It now highlights the fine print that they agreed to follow through to completion. And the “product “ they are giving their opinions on are the products of political opinions.

They realize there are cameras monitoring them. It seems to be some type of social experiment to gather the true feelings of those in attendance. Different people from different backgrounds, cultures and walks of life are debating their beliefs. Some begin to argue and a physical altercation breaks out. Names are being called, insults are being hurled.

Tensions escalate as we wait to see if anyone with a cooler head will emerge to take the lead. All this is taking place; but to what end? Who is controlling this little experiment and what are they trying to prove?

As a die-hard fan of psychological thrillers, I can tell you this one is a cut above the rest. The setup is a masterclass in tension: a group of strangers trapped in a single room for a supposed 'product survey' that quickly devolves into a terrifying social experiment. The sense of claustrophobia and paranoia is palpable from the very first chapter. You’ll be hooked, trying to unravel the mystery and figure out the mole right alongside the characters. The narration was absolutely brilliant, giving each character a distinct voice and ratcheting up the suspense with perfect pacing. If you're searching for your next fast-paced, twisty thriller that plays mind games with you until the very end, look no further. This is a must-listen. I couldn't pause it.

I live for a good psychological mystery, and this audiobook delivered in a huge way! The premise is classic but the execution is brilliantly modern. Instead of a simple 'whodunit,' it's a 'why-dunit' that keeps you guessing about the puppet master behind the whole twisted experiment. The clues are expertly woven into the narrative—the blinking light, the static on the intercom—and the final reveal was both shocking and completely earned. The narrator deserves an award for keeping the tension so high; I felt like I was trapped in that room with them. If you love clever suspense and a mystery that makes you think, you have to use your next Audible credit on this. It's an edge-of-your-seat, 5-star listen all the way.
