Terrible narration

Terrible narration, completely monotone making it hard to track. Narrator says the main character’s names differently every time. The story lacks character depth and it’s easy to guess what comes next. Narration switches from past to present tense mid paragraph repeatedly and I’m not sure if that is due to the narration or the writing.
