The year that the final wave struck mankind like a viral tsunami. COVID 19 type 2 has already decimated countries around the world, killing tens of millions. Now the next variant arrives with a vengeance. The mainland Chinese Army is already invading Taiwan as Russia invades Eastern Europe. The US Navy is stretched thin trying to resupply Taiwan’s military.

Lieutenant Commander Logan Gordon already has his hands full fighting against the ruthless gangs that rule his native Chicago. He leads a special team of fighters against the Antifa Army that holds the city’s downtown and the Central Caliphate that controls the South Side. A surprise nuclear strike takes out two cities on the east coast and the nation is plunged into governmental chaos.

His old boss, Admiral Cotes recruits him for a secret mission that might just save the nation from the scourge of a new type of disease. He and Cotes must escort two doctors and a new vaccine that can save the world to San Diego. In five days. They will have to fight their way through two thousand miles of wild lawless country to make the delivery, despite the chaotic dystopian-like landscape that now defines much of the United States.

And that’s just the part of the mission that Cotes tells Logan about up front.

Urban warfare, Road Warrior-like fighting, nuclear weapons, asymmetrical attacks on the US, strange new technology, and rogue scientists. Logan must face them all in this strange new world to complete his mission and save humanity.
