The First Paladin

But from the ashes, heroes were born; people granted special abilities by the lords of Light to fight back against the darkness. And one of these heroes was a woman named Liliana Travnikov. Born and raised in Russia, Liliana was a middle-aged grandmother when her world was erased in a tide of fire and blood. She managed to survive and fled into the countryside, pursued by hordes of horrific monsters. She was sure that she would die, as her family had before her, but instead she was blessed by a mysterious stranger and granted youth, and the power to take the fight to the dragons and their masters. This is the story of how it began, and of how Liliana became the first paladin.
