Can anything or anyone stop the evil?

Lost. Trapped. Chased by monsters and sent on a crazy mission. Not exactly what Jack Gee had in mind when he used to daydream about the apocalypse.

Seven months after the Hemorrhage virus swept across the world, Jack, his wife, Dee, his friend Boss, and the Renegades, a ragtag collection of civilian and military personnel, have been sent on two missions. Jack likes the first: recon. The second is insane: reenter the laboratory they barely escaped from a few months back and retrieve a logbook, a logbook that could provide the cure to end the madness.

Through the chaos, old friendships are tested and new alliances are formed, but new and dangerous enemies emerge in the fight for the future of New Zealand.

a good visit to a universe with a different point of view. I enjoyed it more than I thought.

I was hesitant, but it's a good trilogy.

I like SF, but have a hard time with SF that is really fantasy. A human being morphing into a monster - really :-(

Good story -- but ---

The action is non-stop yet again! Our heros and new characters we've come to love fight to their last breath to beat off and kill the monsters threatening our society.

Jack and Dee pick up a few more kids along the way as well as their dog who saves them all more than once.

You must read this book. Again, if you are looking at this book, please find the first one, "Rules of Three." The series is great. I wish Amazon would reopen the series and have Smith write more.

Great End to a great Trilogy

If you like post-apocalyptic fiction, this is a great trilogy based on the Nicholas Sansbury Smith Extinction Cycle series. Set in that world, but following the story of New Zealands fight with the genetically altered creatures known as Variantsin. Loved the characters in the book, and the Lord of the Rings and other movie references were great. As a Nerd-Girl myself, i appreciated that. Also loved the Kiwi narrator's accent. Well done series.

Really enjoyed this one. Great ending to trilogy.
