The Fourth Mind is the first book ever to explore the anatomy, brains, genetics, beliefs and capabilities of the unknown entities the author refers to as "the visitors." He maintains that they have a set of abilities he describes as a "fourth mind" that include such powers as telepathy, levitation, the ability to move heavy objects without machinery, and many others.

He then shows that there is a rich store of evidence that mankind once possessed these same powers, and that hidden knowledge of them has persisted into the 20th century.

To explore why we lost them and how we can regain them, he takes a dive into the chaotic end of the last ice age when mass extinctions devastated the planet and mankind endured a catastrophe so terrible that it has buried by traumatic amnesia. He shows how it resulted in our loss of these powers, and describes how a forgotten event involving our visitors that took place in 1996 in Brazil holds the key to our recovery of them.

There has never been another book like The Fourth Mind. It marks the beginning of a new way of thinking about who and what we are, and points toward the re-empowerment of mankind as a truly cosmic species.

I was extremely happy with the scientific aspects as they were presented in detail. However, I noticed the author tends to runoff on philosophical and personal thoughts during the introduction and conclusion of a chapter. Personally, I feel like this time could have been filled with more scientific and detailed description.

I don't think I could stay interested enough to listen again.

This book is as important to us in this era, as Communion was to the last century.

If you have been following the author's writing on this topic throughout his career as I have, it is clear that a pinnacle of understanding and clarity of thought has been reached by someone who is genuinely immersed in the phenomena.

The book discusses ideas found in a Reddit document of unknown authorship; Whitley Strieber is able to address the issues the document features, and interpret it in ways that make for truly fascinating reading / listening.

The issue now is, what will we do with this information? Can we get out of our soul blind predicament and survive? Are we going to be able to establish a fruitful relationship with these "midwives"?

A must read

You did it again Whitley. Well researched and organized material, just facinating!
I wonder, are the visitors giving you some information for your books?

I’ve wondered what they eat and if they poop and pee because there is never a mention of a restroom in their vehicles. Maybe they are so advance they dont need to release or just so careful that digestion to them is an animal necessity. It’s a good read that will require multiple passes to fully grasp it’s entirety but it’s rare and a different perspective to add to the phenomenon. It fills a void that checks new boxes to help the sanity with all the insanity in play. It’s an up hill battle. Thank you for your persistence and resilience, real or not we need a slap in the face and stop the ignorance to continue to innovate and achieve more than what we believe and know. We should have flying cars like the jetsons and that hurts cuz how do you think the mongols did it in 1240, an elite strategy of transportation across time zones? It’s worst than suicide to pretend that adversities are less developed than we are when they are ahead. It’s a fight i rather not go into believing so. Call me crazy wont hurt my feelings. The truth will spark the innovation we are at the cusp of!

very direct and straight forward info. Never tries to oversell, just gives the story straight. It crosses over with many gnostic and ancient history to give a full picture of the phenomenon.

Ties into UAP, ancient history and Gnostic concepts well.
