Ilsa Lynn has made it her life's goal to avoid the curse that binds her family to serve the Summer Court of Faerie. With her magically talented twin sister given the role of Gatekeeper, Ilsa is content to hide under the radar amongst the regular humans.

At least until a mysterious spell book falls into her possession, granting Ilsa with a sudden and inconvenient affinity with the dead, and dangerous magic that paints a neon target on her head. With her family's questionable past quite literally refusing to stay buried, the last thing Ilsa needs is an untrustworthy self-proclaimed faerie bodyguard, even if he does come with a deadly skillset of his own.

Dealing with zombies and fae assassins would be difficult enough on its own, but now someone's out to frame her for murder, too. While dodging enemies at every corner, Ilsa must get a handle on her new powers before the armies of Faerie invade Earth. She might just be in over her head....

This bundle contains the complete Gatekeeper's Curse trilogy: Hereditary Magic, Hereditary Curse, and Hereditary Power.

Let me say first off that this isn't my normal genre, but I loved it. I saw an ad on Facebook for it so I bought it. I waited a while before I listened to it and I totally enjoyed it. The main character, Ilsa Lynn, was funny and imperfect and relatable. She thought she had no magic, despite being a Gatekeeper's daughter, but is surprised that she some abilities.

I listened to the whole trilogy at once, finishing in about eleven days. The narrator did a great job keeping me interested, although I did have to listen at regular speed because of the Scottish accent. I usually listen a little faster.

I see this described by some as Young Adult, but be warned about language, violence, and more. Young Adult books aren't the norm for me. The bad language for me made it all the more fun. This is a fun trilogy. Who knows, maybe I'll even dive into more books by Emma L. Adams someday.

engaging and worth listening. Only gripe is while the overall story is good, a good bit of the interactions are fairly predictable.

interesting concept

I'm thankful this book contained three stories of the series as I honestly needed more. when I listened to the sample the narration made me immediately buy the book just to continue with the lyrical music of her voice which enhanced the story. you will enjoy the book and characters.

Great story and narration.

Started off kinda slow but started to pick up the pace midway pretty good story different take on how the fae courts work I’m a fan of fae stories and I like any different story about them this was a good price for the complete set instead of buying each audible separate you can get full set for one price I recommend buying the set
