the narasion was exilent.

An easy listen with a very engaging story line, the characters are likable and believable.

good but story does not withstand the time

good- intersting plot, narrator voice
bad- too many smoking commercials (did the author got paid by tobacco companies?) and explanation dialogue's.

A little bit long in breath, but the last chapters put it together great!
performance is excellent!

Good hard Science Fiction Story

Unfortunately the science is out of date. Story moves along well and is entertaining.

Great follow-up to the first book.

I really like sci-fi with lots of science and also military intrigue. Human race- it’s always been us or them, keeps us on our toes. Or does it? It’s wonderful to think we might just outgrow that competitiveness and come together for the good of all. Or could we really? Hmmm.
It’s great to think there might be races that just went there in the first place.
I missed this author when these books came out (1977). I would have loved them them. Now 40 years later, this is still a great read although more than a bit not PC. That’s ok. The story is worth it!
