Welcome to Borley Rectory, the most haunted house in England.

It's 1926. Sarah Grey has a new job - assistant to Harry Price, London's most infamous ghost hunter. Harry has devoted his life to exposing the truth behind England's 'false hauntings', and never has he left a case unsolved.

They are invited to Borley Rectory - a house so haunted that objects fly through the air. But when night falls, they're forced to confront an uncomfortable possibility: the ghost of Borley Rectory may be real.

I enjoyed this book, since I've been interested in Borley rectory for a long time, although it is fictional I do appreciate the research done for the story.

A slow start but I became completely gripped by this fascinating story, which reflects the national obsession with spiritualism which occurred after the Great War. Many of the characters are real people and the story is interwoven with real events, centered on the charismatic Harry Price. Excellent narration.

Genuinely chilling and well researched

Remarkable performances by Julie Teal and Leighton Pugh. Great story with disturbing twists - reality is sometimes the greatest horror.
