Covlan Moonstride had no idea how complicated his life would become after agreeing to help what appeared to be a simple girl in need of protection. When an unknown number of merciless enemies bear down upon them from all sides, they find the answers they seek are buried beneath centuries of forgotten history. An ancient evil is at work, pulling forward an intricate stratagem that will plunge Northost into even greater darkness. Relying on the powerful abilities granted to him by the many moons for being an Outlander, Covlan finds himself involved in events that could shape the fate of the world. And at the center of everything, the gravity around which the storms of Northost are gathering, is a girl named Gwenevere.
