From New York Times bestselling author of the acclaimed McCabe and Savage series comes an electrifying new thriller of taut and twisted suspense.

On a freezing December night, Hannah Reindel leaps to her death from an old railway bridge into the rushing waters of the river below. Yet the real cause of death was trauma suffered twelve years earlier when Hannah was plucked from a crowd of freshman girls at a college fraternity party, drugged, and then viciously assaulted by six members of the college football team.

Those responsible have never faced or feared justice. Until now. A month after Hannah’s death, Joshua Thorne—former Holden College quarterback and now a Wall Street millionaire—is found murdered, his body bound to a bed and brutally mutilated.

When a second attacker dies in mysterious circumstances, detectives Mike McCabe and Maggie Savage know they must find the killer before more of Hannah’s attackers are executed. But they soon realize, these murders may not be simple acts of revenge, but something far more sinister.

The Girl on the Bridge is a compelling and harrowing tale of suspense that once read will not easily be forgotten.

Wish this book had a little more detail about McCabe and Savages developing relationship. The murder was interesting. Overall, a decent book and reader.

Enjoying the series

The story flows well and is easy to read, but this narrator is stiff and amateurish. I recommend reading rather than listening to this title.

Good story, poor narrator.

Corny, plus the narrator is not a very good actor. I won't buy any more books narrated by him.

Oh my goodness! This is such a good book. It held me captivated the entire length.
A young woman (Hannah Reindel) goes to a fraternity party with a friend (not her boyfriend - she makes this very clear to him). She is drugged by the most popular man in the fraternity who then rapes her and invites five of his friends to also partake.
Twelve years later she's married to her friend when she jumps from a train bridge and commits suicide, she has never been able to put that night behind her.
Weeks later when someone begins killing the rapists all clues point to the husband (Evan Fisher). Don't think you have it figured out because although it does get a little predictable towards the end, it's a really good book. Very suspenseful and very entertaining. I also like the way this author keeps the relationship between Savage and McCabe in the background. You know they live together but it really has no impact on the story.
Stephen Mendel does an excellent job narrating the entire series.
This book and the other four in this series are all HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Sad story. Good plotting. Well read. Not much mystery but that's alright, there's some decent adventure and high craft writing.
