The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

We love to read about the good guys in the Bible; those spiritual giants who inspire us to give faithful obedience lives of service to our loving God and Creator. We can learn so much from their examples. But there are plenty of bad guys on the pages of the Bible that I believe can offer powerful lessons of what not to be and whose example not to follow.
Their examples remind us that we can learn lessons to apply to our life, not just from the good guys but from the bad guys as well. It should come as no surprise to us that while it is important to learn what to do, it is equally important to learn what not to do.
What follows is a collection of little stories about the good, the bad, and the ugly --- and if we look hard enough, even the beautiful. I encourage you to look out for the bad guys and be careful not to repeat their mistakes. It didn’t end well for them and won’t end well for us.
Whatever happens today or tomorrow, we can trust that God is not asleep at the wheel. Sooner, or later, He will deal with the bad guys.
