Not every lie sounds untrue.

Some lies are repeated so often they seem to be common sense. That's why lies about God are so dangerous. The Gospel According to Satan examines eight lies the enemy wants us to believe and provides eight lies of counterattack against them. The lies include:

  • God just wants you to be happy;
  • you only live once
  • you need to live your truth; and
  • just let go and let God.

Jared C. Wilson reveals why these lies appeal to us, shows how they harm us, and provides ways to counteract them. We can renounce Satan's counterfeit gospel, but first we must see it for what it is.

We will all do well to read this book and confront the lies we are being sold."--Kyle Idleman, senior pastor of Southeast Christian Church and author of Not a Fan and Don’t Give Up

"A unique, compelling, and even witty look at the devil's current greatest hits--lies we urgently need to unmask." --Sam Allberry, speaker for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and author of 7 Myths About Singleness and Why Does God Care Who I Sleep With?

"One of the most thought-provoking writers in the Christian world today... He doesn’t just describe the tantalizing falsehoods of our age, he exposes how they've slithered into our hearts."--Matt Smethurst, managing editor at The Gospel Coalition and author of Before You Open Your Bible

😂 Couldn’t help to read the two (at the time of writing this review) bad reviews left for Jared. Admittedly we all approach anything and everything with a bias. As much as we try not to, it is close to impossible not to do so. To read this book unbiasedly is incredibly difficult.
Now with that said, this book is great! One of the blest books I’ve read. I own a hard copy, this audio book, and a copy on my iBooks. I so much enjoyed just the synopsis of it I recommended it to my men’s group at church. It was in the men’s group that we read this book cover to cover. It helps create great discussion for this setting. It’s not an in depth theological opus, but it’s a great introduction to biblical themes and theology. It’s filled with scripture and truth. Thank you Jared, for righting this very encouraging book!

Great book that will open your eyes to the tricks of the enemy
I do not think I agree with everything that was said, but it is a must read!

Steven Grimsley was a great narrator

This was well written and clearly spoke to the heart of man. We often believe lives that sound like truth, but are often just far enough away from it that we are lost. Great narration, and great content.

What lies do you believe?

As always, Jared C Wilson delivers with aplomb. Great read and very encouraging. I love the way he dissects the the 8 lies we commonly believe about God and about serving God. Highly recommended!
