I was excited to see a recent Audible release discussing the partition of India and Pakistan.
But the narrator...
The narrator isn't "bad", but the tone of the reading sounds like it would be more appropriate in a children's book or a novel. Too "cheerful " sounding for a book about an event that left millions dead and even more displaced and could easily blow up into WW3 at any moment.

How could they not find a qualified narrator? The Hindi/Urdu pronunciation is un-listenable.

Well crafted with superb detail and many first-person accounts . Looks into all aspects of both causes and results, many of which were completely unexpected.

I liked the book. It is about a subject I know something about. Yet I learnt a lot.

The narration is terrible however. Why is it narrated by someone unfamiliar with South Asian pronunciation?
