Fun short story interesting characters and compassion and acceptance intermingled throughout. We all could have and strive to be better at accepting and empathizing with people who aren’t like us. Love Piper stories and writing style and her mystery and surprises as well as compassion and love intermingled I wish the stories were longer and I hope she’s bringing out more in the series although I believe this is it which is sad because you fall in love with these characters and you wanna follow them beyond their 13th birthday. Highly recommend everything Piper CJ writes I’m addicted!

fern always likes to jump in if the story is very stressful at a time. And the characters can be funny.
