When Barbary Coast breaks his leg at the Kentucky Derby, the number one racehorse in the world can’t be saved. Coast’s groom and vet Sarah Fisher, plan to save the horse, but they can’t do it alone. Since artificial insemination is not allowed in thoroughbred racing, forty samples of the horse’s semen is extracted by the groom who uses it as payment to his childhood friend, Brooklyn mobster Jack Verducci in exchange for his help. Jack, the groom and Sarah successfully smuggle Coast from his stable, but once Jack’s Brooklyn mob gets wind of the forty specimens valued at eighty million, a crew is dispatched to take possession of them and leave no witnesses. With the stakes now life and death, Jack has no choice but to take horse, groom and vet on a wild, cross-country ride to escape his own crew.
