Where is the story?

This book is about 90% describing everything on and around people and what little story there is, isn't worth even half a credit. This is not like William Johnston writing at all.

I prefer stories where the hero comes out ahead throughout most of the story. For crying out loud, if it weren’t for bad luck this kid would have no luck at all.
