Millennia ago, Azazel fell from grace, severed from his halo and its divine connection. In defiance, Azazel joined Lucifer as the prince of Hell, angering the Creator, who cast the halo into the abyss, resting at the bottom of a frozen lake for millennia—forgotten until now.

In a futuristic dystopia ruled by the iron fist of EarthCorp, eighteen-year-old hacker Ethan Blade stumbles upon this ancient artifact hidden beneath the frozen solitude of Lake Serenity. Chosen by the halo, Ethan undergoes an agonizing transformation that blurs the lines between human and celestial—and seriously complicates his social life.

Navigating newfound powers is tough enough, but Ethan also has to manage romantic entanglements, awkward misunderstandings, and humorous mishaps. Supported by a quirky yet fiercely loyal group of friends—including the witty and flirtatious Stephanie, the charismatic and mysterious Gabe, and shy but surprisingly resourceful Tim—Ethan must fend off sinister forces determined to reclaim Azazel's lost treasure.

With humanity crushed under EarthCorp's oppressive grip, Ethan and his friends find themselves at the heart of a rebellion. As danger escalates, Ethan faces an impossible choice: embrace his extraordinary destiny or cling to his rapidly fading humanity. Filled with thrilling adventure, heartfelt romance, and laugh-out-loud humor, Azazel's Halo is a gripping tale of friendship, love, and courage against oppressive odds—and one boy's quest to save humanity.

Avery Wilde is a new narrator for me, but I absolutely LOVED his performance! He really brought life to the huge cast of characters. His range of emotions was so great! So fun in the lighter and more comedic moments, and so tender and genuine in the more dramatic scenes.

The story is a fun coming of age story with supernatural themes and strong found family themes throughout. Brighten Blade’s character building is fantastic! Very clearly developed and realistic characters!
