Agnes Leeland groaned when her mother pulled up in front of the abandoned home, they were going to rent for who knew how long! "Oh Mom, this house looks like a witch's house! It's bad enough that you and I are witches, but now people will automatically assume it's true! Why did you have to pick this house?"

Agnes and her mother were constantly on the move after it was discovered that they each possessed magical powers. Agnes especially had a difficult time fitting in at school, and without meaning to, would sometimes let her peers have it with her magic when their taunting would go too far. It was the first of September and Agnes had already missed the first two weeks of school. She dreaded having to go and hoped she would be able to somehow fit in.

Jack Portman looked up to see the beautiful new girl enter his science class. She had silky strawberry-blonde hair that was wavy and fell to the middle of her back. Her piercing blue eyes captured his attention right away and her irresistible smile was contagious. She was petite with a cute figure, and he couldn't wait to get to know her.

Jack and his friends attend a fall carnival and are surprised to discover the beautiful new girl, Agnes, at one of the booths.
