Everyone is dead. All that remains is an old woman and a gymnasium full of unresponsive bodies. Each day another storm approaches, threatening to destroy the building they call home. Each night a series of nightmares leaves the woman screaming for help. Alone and overwhelmed, will the final member of the human race be thought of as a caretaker or as a monster?

The Hauntings of Playing God is a story about the possibilities each life holds. It is also a lesson about the importance of believing in something greater than yourself.

this was a little repetitive. I liked the premise, but wonder if it couldn't have been crafted into something shorter and more impactful.

kind of long ..

**Partial spoiler**...
My least favorite of the three in the series. I didn't find it boring, maybe because I'm 72 and have some of those same questions. Narrator was very good as was the other one. I probably wouldn't have waited as long as she did. That's ME.

not boring

I am enjoying this series, and I think out of the three of four I e read I think I like this most. I’m intrigued to see what the last book holds.

Another piece to the puzzle

What a nightmare it would be to be in your 90's and feeling responsible for the care of so many lives.

Could you imagine?

years ago I couldn't have sat through this book! I'm glad I'd did.. I still don't know how I feel about it. but it got me thinking in a new and at times devastatingly profound way!
