Rolfe Munro is sick unto death of the topic of marriage. His marriage is one everyone seems to have an opinion of. So, when his father offers him the chance to escape the Munro stronghold for a bit, Rolfe happily takes the chore!

He's the son of the laird, and he'll have to settle down or risk leaving the clan in a fight when he dies. Still, he's not ready to steal a bride. Even when his fool cousin takes one and needs rescuing. Rolfe isn't going to get involved beyond making sure his cousin survives. That's his plan. At least until he lays eyes on Annis.

Annis is different. Her allure is something he can't put into words, or ignore it would seem.

By the time he escorts them to his cousin's stronghold, all Rolfe is thinking about is how to steal Annis away.

Very enjoyable

This book kept me interested and loved the narrator. I prefer male narrators. The story line was also good.

So many players and many ways the book could have gone and a couple of good surprises!

The main character’s positive outlook and the kind treatment from Rolfe.

As usual Timothy Campbell’s narration is incredible. He makes the story come to life. Of course one falls in love with Rolfe, but other male characters show promise as well. I hope we see them again in future books. The story was a sweet one.

Captive

Mary Wine does not disappoint with the 3rd installment. Narrator excellent as usual and as usual I fell in love with the characters. Thank you for another wonderful read and listen!!

the dialog is fantastic. the narration is the best. I'm going took for every book with this pair I can find. so enjoyable
