A warrior’s vow. A lady’s escape. A love that changes everything.

Duncan MacGregor is a man of honor, sworn to protect his clan and its legacy. When a mysterious woman arrives at the gates of his Highland stronghold, seeking sanctuary, Duncan’s resolve is tested. Her beauty is undeniable, but her guarded past whispers of danger—and secrets that could threaten everything he holds dear.

Lady Alice Fraser has endured a life of pain and betrayal, her only hope resting in the haven of the MacGregor clan. As she struggles to adapt to their way of life, her sharp wit and resilient spirit catch the attention of the formidable Highlander who has vowed to shield her. Yet trust is a luxury neither of them can afford.

As tensions rise in the Highlands, Duncan and Alice must navigate a landscape of hidden dangers and growing passion. Can they forge a bond strong enough to withstand the challenges ahead, or will their pasts destroy the fragile hope of a future together?

Bad narrator can absolutely ruin a book. This is an excellent example of a complete ruination.

The horrible narration. Good grief.

I kept waiting for something exciting to happen, some adventure, some intrigue.,,it never happened. So many times the same theme was said over and over. The dialogue was placid and flat. What little romance there was was so trite. I did not care for this story all.

So predictable
