Plunging into the burning side of the building, she anchors the terrified stallion with her "four in, four out" breathing pattern and rides him bareback through the storm to confront the criminals. But the final test—proving the horse’s compliance to the insurer—must be performed not in the ruined barn, but in the one place the horse associates with safety: the small, ancient chapel where the victim’s name is carved into the altar.
