This book has been written to encourage folks about the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer - in many respects it is hard hitting; it is not for snowflakes. It has been structured with small bite-sized chapters for easy reading. This dynamic book will specifically consider how the Holy Spirit fits in with the church and the individuals that make up the body of Christ across the world today. It will consider how the Holy Spirit operated throughout the Old Testament, the gospels and into the New Testament (up to the book of Corinthians), in order to determine how he can provide a benefit to churches and individuals today. The book will also explain how the Holy Spirit will never detract from God and Jesus - he will never speak of himself; he will only enhance the work that God wants to do in and through the life of Christians in a very powerful way. Finally, the book provides a balanced approach to the work of the Holy Spirit in churches and people’s lives - it rejects some of the excesses of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in charismatic churches and it also rejects the neglecting of the third person of the Godhead in legalistic traditional churches that have ignored all that God has made available to them.
