Ever since I met my handsome husband Dr Gabe Bonneville, I started playing the role of the perfect housewife. He works hard as a surgeon, so I look after our home, and throw elaborate dinner parties with champagne cocktails for his best friends Hugh and Anita. I’ve managed to hide the mornings when I wake up and see a face in the shadows. I haven’t told Gabe the truth about the woman who raised me, or told him about the therapy I’ve been getting so my secrets stay hidden in the dark. I haven’t questioned his past so he doesn’t ask about mine. I see the way Anita looks at him sometimes, but I’ll never say a word.

Overall pretty good

Was not expecting a blockbuster due to this being a ‘plus’ selection. However, I was proved wrong. The story was engaging and interesting, while keeping me guessing. Good narration. Some of the storyline felt a little far fetched but overall I enjoyed it.

The story really grabs you.

The story was engaging, there was a great twist. It was a surprisingly good book considering it was a freebie. One thing that baffles me: why is there a male narrator when most of the dialogue was female. It was confusing at times especially when a male and a female were having a conversation.

Another winner in the Dan Riley detective series

I am addicted to the series! I have been waiting for book 7… All I can say is that Anna Lou Weatherly is a master of suspense. Hope there will be a book 8?

Good story

I liked the way it all tied together in the end. Kept me wanting to listen all the way.

Moved fast right from the start. Dan and his relationships were developed even more this time. Looking forward to the next episode.
