Emma just turned 40 and has finally begun living her best life. She books a vacation to a resort only to find herself on the dinner menu of an immortal Viking. With only her wit and a little luck, maybe Emma will make it off the island alive.

Spoiler alert: Don't fall in love or the ending will rip your heart out. The Immortal is an action-packed, contemporary fantasy that doesn't have a boring moment. An alternative to your typical romance, The Immortal is compelling and satisfying.

This story is like a Viking vampire chronicle-interesting storyline. Narrator was clear and read at an easy to listen to pace, easy to distinguish the characters voices.

Good audio book. Nice length, not too short or long. Liked the story line. Narrator was a good choice.

This book is very fast paced, so much so that it glosses over some character choices and transitions. The book keeps you guessing as to what exactly is going to happen next. At just over 4 hours, the story is entertaining and not mentally taxing to keep up with.

For the most part, the voice talent is easy to listen to and has enough unique voices to differentiate character easily. There is one scream that was particularly abrupt and distracting. The accent choices were odd but not insurmountable to get over

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a light suspense/monster mystery. Enjoy the escape into the world of the Immortal.
