Needing an escape from her past, Avery chooses a college where no one knows her. Keeping a low profile was the plan, falling for the intense frat boy Jase wasn't. Yet she can't deny how alive she feels when he's near. Even as common sense implores her to stay away, her body begs her to get closer.

Jase, numb from his own family drama, has grown bored with weekends fueled by nameless girls and countless bottles when he meets Avery. Helping her cope with her past is better than dealing with the bullshit his own life's served up. Determined to drive away the painful secret she's guarding, he appoints himself her life coach, and challenges her to new experiences. Getting close to her and being the one to make her smile are simply perks of the job. But when Avery's past boldly saunters in, refusing to be forgotten, can Jase live with the truth about the girl he's fallen for?

Would you consider the audio edition of The Impact of You to be better than the print version?

I would have rather read this than listened to it, for sure. The narrator is really not good. Her voice inflections leave so much to be desired that it is hard to enjoy the book at all.

Good story, bad narrator

I didn't even get 5 minutes into this book because of how awful the narrator is. I might be an amazing book, but if the narrator is bad, then it ruins it.

Horrible narrating

The narrator sounds at times like she can barely read and there are strange pauses at times where it seems like she forgot where she was up to. This also highlights poor quality sound editing.

Horrible narrative made worse by horrible narration

I love Kendall Ryan's books, but this one is only "okay". Complicating matters is that the narrator is horrible. Her inflections were completely off and never showed the right emotion (relatively flat other than needless emphasis), and her phrasing made it impossible to tell one sentence from the next. All the phrases were read as if they were sentences on their own which made comprehension of the story downright difficult. I own over 300 audio books and this is the worst narration I've ever encountered.

I should have listened to the other reviewers!

Omg! The book could have been good but the narrative makes it terrible.
She sounds like a teenager and it makes it really weird.

Narrator is AWFUL!!!
