Celeste Martin looked out her front window and wanted to stay home from work due to the soggy wet weather. However, as much as she wanted to stay home, she was meeting the area manager at her store and knew she better be on her way. She was an independent woman who had worked hard all her life and was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time and was able to purchase a successful donut franchise. There were rumors from the other franchise owners that the area manager was next to impossible to please. No one was willing to give her any more information than that so she would be on her own when he came to critique her store.

After parking her car across the street so her customers would have parking spaces, she was about to step into the street when a dark Mercedes Benz whipped around the corner and hit a large puddle which managed to totally drench her. She was positive she looked like a drowned rat and if she ever saw that driver again, she would give him a piece of her mind. She didn't have to wait long because the sporty Mercedes was in her parking lot and the owner was none other than the area manager who was walking up to the door of her store!
