Back Yourself. Believe. Achieve.

Imposter Syndrome doesn’t just affect middle-aged suits in big board rooms. The typical thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are part of the imposter experience - things like overwork, perfectionism and procrastination, hiding out, playing small and holding back – are common for so many of us.

This is not just a different name for self-doubt. It is pervasive and goes directly to your sense of self-worth and belonging. You don’t need a confidence hack. You need to go to the root cause of your feelings of unworthiness and learn to trust that you are enough.

Cultivating genuine self-belief and self-trust, knowing you deserve to be in any room regardless of who you are and where you come from, fully accepting your imperfect self, letting go of all the tricks you use to try to convince people you’re enough - the perfectionism, people pleasing and pretending - this is the key to happiness and personal success.

Psychologist Cassandra Dunn, creator of the popular Crappy to Happy podcast, has created a program with five clear steps – Recognise, Regulate, Reframe, Remember, Respond – so you can understand that you’re not a fraud. You do belong. You deserve success.

The exercises and recommendations are good for imposters and non imposters.
I’m in process of re-writing values and goals with Franklin Covey planner and the self care goals will be more in-depth / a recognition of when everyone else’s priorities are coming before mine.
I had many “ah ha’s“ in chapter 2 & 4.
