Mistletoe, Macalister, and Merry Mayhem: Love’s the Perfect Holiday Plot Twist!

Macalister Forest—award-winning mystery author by day, clueless single dad by… well, all the time. This Christmas, he’s trading crime scenes for candy canes and heading to Sugar Plum, Georgia, with his spirited daughter, Josi. But before you can say Jingle Bells, Mac realizes he’s in over his Santa hat and needs a nanny, stat.

Wynter Sullivan, Manhattan’s real-estate queen, thought her biggest holiday challenge was landing the coziest cottage south of the North Pole. Wrong. To seal the deal, she has to prove she’s a local—which means saying yes to a last-minute nanny gig. The catch? Her new boss is Macalister, the same man who still stars in her what-if daydreams from one unforgettable summer.

Now Josi’s Christmas wish throws them all into festive chaos that makes ugly sweaters look chic. Can Mac trust Wynter with his daughter and the heart he swore off, or will he play it safe and stick to writing mysteries—while love pens the perfect ending without him?

A small-town Christmas rom-com filled with laughter, second chances, and enough holiday cheer to melt even the frostiest hearts.

The writing was rushed and very formulaic. The author had a very vanilla story but threw in swear words to try to make it spicy. The virtual voice mispronounced the main characters names dozens of times and was incredibly bland. I wonder if there is any editorial or quality review. Not worth a listen even though it was free.
