"I attended my funeral the first time I died." This is the first line of a different type of time-travel novel that may turn into a series if enough people like it. If you want a book with characters who travel back in time, this isn't it.
After that first death, Mark doesn't attend any more of his funerals. He does recount what happened in previous lifetimes and how he died. Those memories are buried within the actions of today's world, and how they interact and shape his choices in daily life. What seems to be a unique gift evolves into one that includes other people and his quest to understand the reason for his strange ability takes twists and turns that eventually unravel the mystery.
The author hates predictable story lines. The idea for this story began over ten years ago and it took that long to reach a story-arc that manages to include the actions, trials, and tribulations over several lifetimes, while maintaining a pace that should keep a reader interested and wondering what comes next.
