This story is about life and being strong enough to pick up the pieces, listen your guardian angel, and make a new life. God has a plan, you just need to be still and follow what he has in store for ypu. Nicely done!

A Story of Manipulation, Abuse and Taking Back Your Life

This story shows the resilience of a woman who faces the hills and valleys of life. Loss early in life, an opportunity to bond with family in an unexpected way, mistakes, triumphs and learning to listen to her inner voice.
Information and encouragement for women who face abusive and lonely situations...ideas how to take some steps needed to survive.
The story is well written and had me engaged the entire time.
The narrator was ok, sometimes when not engaged in dialogue the narration felt a bit flat, but not off putting for the story.

Inspirational story

A well written story of an abused woman overcoming it with help of her friend and daughter and her inner voice and faith. Narrator has a very soothing voice that goes great with this story.

Thought Provoking

A well written story about how a young woman was stalked, befriended and eventually tricked into uprooting herself & her young daughter to another state leaving her familiar safety net behind her. Once in her new surrounding she soon becomes a victim of physical, emotional & sexual abuse at the hands of the man she once thought she loved. After awhile she devises a plan for them to escape and eventually rebuilds both of their lives.

A Difficult Life

In this tale, the author depicted the difficult journey that Katy went through, when the love of her life, turned into someone that was completely different, than the man she thought she knew. This story was heartbreaking and harrowing; however, through listening to her inner voice, Katy's tale became one of survival. This story has some scenes of domestic abuse and therefore would not be suitable for younger readers. Ann Sprinkle's narration was fine and her voice was pleasing. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
