My father gave me this series of books to me as a birthday present 30 years ago. The story is very reminiscent of the movie, Labyrinth but enhanced by the addition of characters, friends of the leading lady. I’ve read these books over and over again, often imagining me as Jenny. I read them now for pure nostalgia.

Great trilogy for young adults

Would you listen to The Kill again? Why?

I probably won't because I don't read because more than once, but the thought would cross my mind.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how the relationships amongst the main characters transformed.

What does Khristine Hvam bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Very good voice of the villian.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Great Trilogy

I read the first two books in paperback form in the mid-90s, but never finished it. I was pleasantly surprised to find this on audiobook and finally be able to finish. Of course being an adult and living in the times we are, I couldn't help but root for the shadow daddy, Julian. Very reminiscent of The Labyrinth, one of my all time favorite movies, so I enjoyed it. Pure YA goodness and nostalgia.

Nostalgic find!
