A good book, but not one I’d read again

I enjoyed the story line and the characters, but it was very vanilla. Nothing that made me really drawn to the book.

Great historical fiction mystery

This is not a romance novel nor is is marketed as such, so reviews complaining about that should be ignored and reviewers dismissed as borderline misogynistic at best. This book is stellar, yes there are triggers, but nothing outside of realistic and probable for the era. Narrator is on point, and I blasted through this in a weekend

AMAZING BOOK

If you like murder mysteries and very descriptive books this is GOOD. It reminds me of the murder mystery movie on Netflix but with more gore and brains. I love love loved the book and although I wasn’t content with the ending I feel it closes the whole book quite well. Not promising everyone is going to love it but I certainly did and I’m not even a big book reader. Ellie Marney is an AMAZING writer and should continue to write more books!❤️❤️

Really liked the premise, hated the agenda

Narration great, plot excellent, but in a 1940's, WW2 story I expected a gal meets guy type romance.
The gal meets gal romance ruined it for me.
