I LLOOVVEE ALL BOOKS AMY TAN

I own every Amy Tan book and have listened to all of them at least three times each (most are incredibly long... like Valley of Amazement.) No matter how long though, everytime I feel the end coming and then it's over, a bit of my heart cries out to have to return to my life. Thank you Mrs. Tan, for sending me into another world, one in which always makes me appreciate how lucky I am and how much people have endured throughout time. Their are some truly gifted writers out there, and then there is Any Tan 😊. (I also enjoy Lisa See, they remind me if each other in many ways.)

A great story

A story of war, full of history love and excitement connecting generations, families and countries. I couldn’t stop listening!

Terrible Narration, wonderful story

I’ve loved this story since I first read it in print, but the narrator was so terrible it was disappointing. The voice of Aunty Du was so oddly and over-exaggerated-sing-songy it was incredibly distracting. The accents were also transient for several characters, coming-and going, making it difficult to keep track of who was speaking.

I read this years ago but had to read it again because it's so interesting and I felt the characters emotions. beautiful!
