Everyone remembers their secret imaginary world…but what if you discovered that yours was real?

When Arthur and Rose were little, they were the heroes of Roar, a magical world they invented where the wildest creations of their imaginations roamed. Now that they’re eleven, Roar is just a distant memory. But it hasn’t forgotten them.

When their grandfather is spirited away into Roar by the villain who still haunts their nightmares, Arthur and Rose must go back to the world they’d almost left behind. And when they get there, they discover that Grandad isn’t the only one who needs their help.

This enchanting, action-packed novel is perfect for readers who’ve always dreamed of exploring Narnia and Neverland.

I like the characters especially since I had just read a story prior with a character similar to Rose's attitude the only problem is unlike Rose she wasn't as relatable and she never had that moment of truth where she admits her faults or changes her attitude. I feel Rose's character growth is just as genuine as Arthur's. I love the unique idea behind The Land of Roar and how it connects to the children. At times the story felt a bit predictable however I always try to keep in my of the target audience, which is not me. That being said I think it's a great story for kids especially one that is in that in-between stage of life still wanting to be a kid, but feeling like they are suppose to grow and put away childish things. By the way I'm one of those adults who feels that you should always try to keep a piece of childhood within you.

Narration was good just a bit slow for me so I did end up speeding it up just a bit. He very excitable and I think could hold a child's attention very well.
