"The story is immediately riveting. Tense, terrifying, and all too real — highly recommend!"

In a flash, the United States of America is sent back to the Stone Age.

In a blackout-plunged New York City, Kimberly, her brother Collin, and friends Becky and Mike race to their family's Kentucky homestead. Facing a collapsed society marked by chaos and violence, their journey tests their endurance against ruthless dangers. At the farm, with no power or communications, she must rescue her friends from the chaos engulfing the nation.

First part of book is main character arguing with brother. Not engaging at all. Usually with these books at the edge of my seat. Not this one. Didn’t even finish.

Very much focused on feelings of main character not actual events happening. Boring.

This is really not well written. I found it repetitive word salad with characters be behaving in ways that didn’t make sense. The narrator frequently pauses at inappropriate spots in the middle of sentences leaving disjointed phrases, and there are numerous repeated sentences. I don’t understand the 4 and 5 star reviews. There are many better options in this genre.

The writing and narration are subpar
