When she finds a mysterious starlight map in her grandmother's whispering attic, Evelyn is set on a desperate quest. Guided by a grumpy gnome and a creaky, clockwork owl named Roy, she must journey through the Forest Where Magic Sleeps to find the legendary Glimmerstone. But a terrifying enemy is hunting her. The Shadow Snatcher, a cold, slithering darkness, is eating the last bits of magic. It wants Evelyn's spark, and it will stop at nothing to get it. Evelyn's spark is small, and the shadow is huge. With only a teaspoon of courage and a pocketful of borrowed light, can one girl be brave enough to face the King of No-More-Magic and bring wonder back to the world?
