In a future when humans are believed to be extinct, what will one curious robot do when it finds a girl who needs its help?

In the future, robots have eliminated humans, and 12-year-old robot XR_935 is just fine with that. Without humans around, there is no war, no pollution, no crime. Every member of society has a purpose. Everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Until the day XR discovers something impossible: a human girl named Emma.

Now, Emma must embark on a dangerous voyage with XR and two other robots in search of a mysterious point on a map. But how will they survive in a place where rules are never broken and humans aren't supposed to exist? And what will they find at the end of their journey?

Humorous, action-packed, and poignant, The Last Human tells a story about friendship, technology, and challenging the status quo no matter the consequences. It's not just about what it means to be a robot - it's about what it means to be a friend.

Loved the character development and story. Has it all. Adventure, suspense, humor, love, empathy, moral.

The “slash” writing is very unfortunate and nearly ruined this book for me but loved everything else so grit my teeth.

Adored the voice of xeron or ciron.

Skd was cute and xr and xeron so funny together.

Wonderful.

Truly would be a great movie, cross between terminator and somewhere over the rainbow.

Could be a fantastic movie

I enjoyed this book, it wasn’t full of violence,
Or vulgar words, it was a book about friendship, misunderstandings and how a robot interpreted the phrase: a picture is worth a thousand words! It’s a great book for all ages. I hope you enjoy it.

Great robot tale!

Yes, this is a clearly written story with some nice moments. There is something, however, that deters from its appeal and those considering a purchase of the audio format should take this into consideration, This book has the annoying (and to me very annoying) habit of starting a new chapter every paragraph or so. I am not sure why the author or editor did this, but following 2-3 minutes of text, there will be a pause for a few seconds and then a new chapter. I mean there are approximately 70 chapters in this 7 hour book or more ... each with that short pause in the narration. It has to effectively lengthen this book's play time for a full ten percent. This is a bad habit of some audio-only books and i hope it does not become more common.

Pretty Good story but....
