Thrilling

An exciting continuation into the story, can’t wait to start the third book and hopefully get some answers about the plague

Good story but no real progression

This felt less like a sequel and more like another story in the same universe.

I had hoped to learn more about the world the author has built here- it’s creepy, it’s gross, it’s everything I like- but it just felt like a let down overall. I came across the first book cold and didn’t read any reviews of the sequel cause the first one was just so fun, so maybe my expectations were too high. It didn’t feel like the author made a lot of decisions, just sort of treaded water until the whole thing could be over with.

I will give part three a listen because that’s just the sort of person I am, but I don’t know how much I can tell anyone this was a vital part two.

Last Outpost indeed!

I felt the pain in Royce’s bones, the despair is is heart, and the fragility of his mind. Rich Hawkins had me pleading with Royce to carry on, just one more step. Stay alive, long enough to hear your daughters name spoken one more time.

Love the narrator, story is solid

I would listen to this book again. But I was left with a negative feeling at end of book.

Never a happy ending in the lot

I thought I would enjoy this series but I did not. Not for one minute. I Kept waiting to see the chacters efforts put forth, acquire reward and recovery. Nope. Too much misery for me.
