With the final Power War at hand and human Extras in peril, Magical Girl Understudy must choose between her role . . . and her mission.

Anika DuPont—Annie to her friends—is entering the final semester of her Superpower Studies degree at Tokyexico University. All she really wants before school starts is a nice, normal Christmas with her family, clear boundaries between herself and her superhero persona, and no shop talk. Anyway, despite her efforts, Annie's schoolwork has been taking a backseat to her career as a superhero on an alien reality TV show using her city as a set and her friends as Extras.

Meanwhile, the campus group APPEAL and her friend Su-Bin have been advocating for Extras' rights, and they're starting to make an uncomfortable amount of sense. But before Annie can question whether she's on the right side of history, she's got to help the heroes beat the villains in the ongoing Power War. They must defeat 3V1L and unmask the powerful hero-turned-villain leading the sinister organization to return Tokyexico City to the status quo.

But Extras keep dying, and a publishing company's about to drop a bombshell of a book on Earth—the kind of story that will completely redefine the Power War, the Ilneats' presence, and Earth's future. An uncomfortable truth's about to be revealed, and Magical Girl Understudy must choose between doing what's right . . . and what's profitable.

it's quite the journey from one book to here and I think it's quite worth it. this ending makes sense it feels like a rational resolution based on the books prior. yes I could say it feels like this book moves a bit too fast but that feels like a nitpick

this is a great story that explores some interesting questions about responsibility and the nature of being a good person.

do not be turned away by all the pink but if you made it to book 4 you're probably fine lol

Most well written litrpg I have personally come across
