Told in alternating points of view, the stories of the two young women unfurl as each struggles to find their way during two separate wars.

The history in the book and the story woven into that

I liked hearing about what life was like in each of those time periods. The story seems so real.

Fascinating

I learned so much about history and the trials & tribulations of the Russian Revolution. I’ll be buying another book by MJ Rose.

Terrible and rambling

The plot was all over the place, and heavy reliance on the superfluous love expressions that weren’t believable.
Unlikeable main character, can’t even remember her name. Blah
