With no desire to live in a world void of all human life, Faye sets a goal of making it home to die. Then she encounters Dodge and two young boys, who ignite a spark long lost in her: the will to live.

Following radio calls, they discover they are not alone and decide to join a growing camp of survivors. But another discovery threatens their new-found safety and the rules begin to change. As they desperately try to find a safe haven and figure out their place in this new world, Faye must weigh the decision of what she wants to do against what she should do.

The continuation of man's existence seems to rest with Faye.

Be advised that Book 2 DOES NOT use the same narrator as Book 1 which, in my opinion, ruined it. This narrator is atrocious! I blame myself for assuming it was the same narrator as the first book.

Aside from the poor narration, i felt the story was fairly predictable and the Faye character just became more irritating and insufferable as the book went on. No woman can be that clueless and naive.

Ugh!

Didn’t care for this narrator as much as the first book ..... the story was great

I enjoyed the first book. This book however was poorly narrated. The lead character spoke in a sultry voice that just didn’t fit the story.

Poor Narration

The narrator was changed from book one. It was very irritating because she didn’t do the character the same as before. Her voice and tone do not work with this story at all. I was not able to finish listening.

Not the same

Same as first, story had potential.
Heroine whines a lot, still no common sense.
Not recommend.

Different narrator, blah!
