In 1962 Sara Regan and her friend Alina plan an escape for her their friend Anita, a Magdalene girl at the St Mary Magdalene asylum. After the escape plan fails, Sara and Alina are sent to the asylum and subjected to abuse and torment at the hands of the Nun's. Sara forms a strong relationship with the girl's in the dormitories and tries hard to follow the strict regime. Then a year later, a mysterious maid starts working at the asylum, called Dana, with revenge on her mind, Dana plans a secret plot to set the girl's free from the asylum once and for all. Although the story might have been decent, the narration was the worst I've ever experienced! I will make sure to no longer purchase audio books that use Virtual Voice again.

The digital voice was flat, the story uninspiring, and the language too simple. Too many pauses between sentences. Just couldn't deal with any of this. Walk on by.....
